3. Wear Your YAWA #TOGETHERBAND
When you get a YAWA Band, you directly support the Yawanawá people of the Amazon, who craft each band from açaí seeds in the heart of the rainforest. Proceeds help them build a Rainforest Workshop & Atelier — sustaining livelihoods and preserving culture while protecting the forest.

Every band comes as a set of two: one for you, and one to share. Wearing and sharing your band is a daily reminder of your connection to the Amazon and your solidarity with her guardians.

Why the YAWA #TOGETHERBAND Matters

Every YAWA Band is handmade by the Yawanawá people of the Amazon rainforest. Wearing one is more than a symbol — its direct support for Indigenous-led economic empowerment and forest protection.

Through the Indigenous Bioeconomy Program, each band helps:

  • Create 5,000 living-wage artisan jobs by 2030

  • Support 50,000 people across Amazonian nations (Yawanawá, Kogui, Wiwa, Yanomami, Guajajara, Xingu, Tembe, Huni Kuin)

  • Train artisans and celebrate each community’s culture

  • Expand rainforest ateliers to 2 new Indigenous communities each year

  • Reinvest 100% of profits into Indigenous communities and the Amazon

4. Post & Inspire Others

  • Share your portrait with or without your YAWA Band — both show solidarity.

  • Use the hashtags: #AmazoniaCalling #IStandWithTheAmazon #Togetherband #IndigenousVoices #DefendEarthDefenders

  • Follow Amazonia Calling on our social media channels.

  • Invite your friends to join by pledging, posting, or wearing a band of their own.

Why It Matters

  • Indigenous peoples have been craftspeople and guardians of the forest since time immemorial.

  • By supporting their work, you are helping preserve cultural heritage, sustain local economies, and protect the Amazon’s precious biodiversity.

  • Together, our voices create a powerful chorus that global leaders cannot ignore at COP30.
